We're seeking a highly organized, proactive, and professional Executive Assistant to support members of our Executive Team and help drive the success of one of Michigan's largest faith-based nonprofit organizations.

This is more than an administrative role. As a trusted partner to executive leadership, you'll play a critical role in helping the organization operate effectively by coordinating priorities, managing executive operations, supporting board and committee activities, facilitating key communications, and ensuring leaders can focus on advancing Samaritas' mission.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy managing complex schedules and projects, and take pride in being the person who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As the Executive Assistant to the Executive Team, you will:

  • Manage executive calendars, schedules, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics.
  • Prepare, proofread, and coordinate correspondence, reports, presentations, and executive communications.
  • Record meeting minutes and track action items to support organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate board and committee meetings, materials, agendas, and follow-up activities.
  • Serve as a professional liaison with executives, board members, donors, community partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Screen and prioritize incoming communications, ensuring timely responses and follow-through.
  • Support donor relations activities and special events in partnership with the Advancement team.
  • Lead and coordinate special projects, executive initiatives, and cross-functional efforts.
  • Process invoices, reconcile expense reports, and maintain accurate administrative records.
  • Handle highly confidential information with exceptional professionalism, judgment, and discretion.

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will bring:

  • Five or more years of progressive administrative experience, preferably supporting senior-level executives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
  • Strong proofreading, editing, and document preparation skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional presence and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration tools.
  • Experience with board management or project management software preferred.
